Snow! Snow! Snow!

Remember how I said the weather was really nice earlier this week?
Well, today we got out of school early because of snow. They said the 'big snowstorm is coming!' It's been snowing and blowing since about 8:00AM. I'm hoping we will at least have school delayed tomorrow. ♥

I have to say, even though I really don't like cold weather, I still love the snow! I can't even comprehend how some people have never seen snow in real-life. The snow just dances through the air as it spirals down to earth. Those large and fluffy flakes are the best, of course. They can stay in the air for a long time before finally coming to rest on the ground. Then, of course, there is a mean side to snowflakes. Sometimes they're more like ice pellets than snow and pelt you in the face whenever you turn towards the wind, giving you a painful brain-freeze. I still love the snow, however it comes down. Though I only like to be in it when it's snowing the big fluffy flakes. I suppose I'm picky with my weather. : )

I was informed a few minutes ago that I must clean the fridge. *gag*
That means I need to leave you.
Wherever you are, enjoy your life. Life is fleeting and we don't usually realize that until someone close to us is taken away and by then it's too late.

I've never really watched this show, but after the Superbowl I saw this scene. Oh wow, I laughed so hard and I just was talking about it to my mom so I thought, 'Hey, YouTube it!' and so I did. I have to share this, I laugh so hard! The end especially!

100th Post! (I can't believe it)

Hey everyone!

This is my 100th post! I can't believe I've stuck with my blog. (okay, I kinda cheated by posting so many videos, but I like those vids)
Oh-Kay--My presentation on Bloody Mary went okay, not great, my throat was getting sore towards the end so you couldn't hear me very well and I kept coughing. Other than that..I don't know.

Hehe, I love this weird picture thing.

Cassie has been sending me so many more YouTube videos! They are so great! Yay YouTube!

I am going to post a cool Supernatural Folsom Prison Blues videos, the song fits it perfectly, but I don't know what the song is. I love that episode though. It's funny when they go to jail since Dean fits in so well and Sam just wants to leave.

I have hot chocolate!

Today was so so nice outside! It's finally warming up! Although, tomorrow is probably going to be cold again. Foohey.

Man, I still have to do my homework.

Plus, I have to clean the house, I don't know how far I'll get on that, because an insurance guy or someone like that is coming over tomorrow. Exciting. But that's why we must clean our home. Ooh, and I want to clean my room, it's annoying me.

That was basically a list just for me so I remember all I still have to do tonight. Yay. Reminders. Great.

I wish I'd written a poem for y'all. Oh, if you hadn't noticed, I stopped doing the 'Poem-A-Day' thing. There are still poems left in the book, of course, but I felt like it was getting sort of old. I still have one special and favorite poem to share, but maybe I'll post it tomorrow. Not tonight at least.

I should go...I still have to work out for at least a half-hour tonight because my doctor and mom are getting on me about that since I have So Much Stress! Not a fan of stress.

Supernatural-Sams Death.

This is so sad! I can't believe Sammy dies! I mean, I knew that it happened, but still...I never knew about Dean looking for him for so long first. This is just terrible, I haven't even gotten this far in catching up on other seasons! I'm only like a quarter of the way through watching season 2. I can't believe this, it's so sad! Cassie just sent this to me, thanks! The song fits it so perfectly, it's just so, so sad!
Oh, speaking of Cassie...
We had pretty much a free day in Computer Applications Friday and Cassie was checking out Supernatural.tv
She found Jensen Ackles' Bio and went to his FanSite.
She was just clicking around with me hovering over her shoulder and she found...An email address! If you sent your name and mailing address to that email they'd send you a picture of Jensen! So, of course, I tried it with me and Cassie quietly squealing the whole time. In 4 to 6 weeks we will find out if it worked! And, if it does work, Cassie is going to send them an email too. She wanted to make sure no psycho comes and kills me. heh heh. I just wish that it was a picture of Jensen as Dean, not just Jensen, but whatever. It's still a picture(maybe even 2!), signed I think, and that's pretty cool. So in 4-6 weeks I'll tell you all if it worked!
I hope it does!
Cassie, thanks for sending this to me, it was SO sad! And of course thanks so much for having the same fascination with Supernatural as I do!

I Was Writing Today!

I was actually writing today!
Yea, I know, it's been quite a while.
I just wrote down the word 'Discover' and stared at it for a really long time trying to think of what would come next. Then...It all just came together.
I guess, even though it sounds super corny, writing is like a sort of magic: it just happens and is wonderful and amazing. I don't understand how some people don't like writing. But, then some people don't understand how I don't like to drink pop. We're all different I suppose, but sometimes you just want someone who understands where you're coming from.
Anyways, I wrote two poems today, the one I like better is first. I named it 'Discovering Truth'

Discovering Truth

Discover
Meaningless truths
About the lies
That suffocate
We are not
Honest always
Truth can hide
Within a lie
Don't we wonder
About ourselves
Why this way
And not the other
Don't want to see
The truth within

That's the first one. Let me tell you, it is better than the other one. The other one is called 'Loved' which I titled quickly, it isn't quite the title I want but I can't think of the word or words I want to use. Anyways, here it is.

That's both of them. I like 'Discovering Truth' so much better than 'Loved' but I thought why not post them both.
I am going shopping today! Actually, not really shopping, we're just going to pick up some rat food because my rats have no food left for today at all!
Basically I'm killing time before my brother gets here and we leave. I should do my homework now...I really don't feel like doing it yet though. I will when we get back.
Speaking of homework, I have a killer essay for my English class!
It's all about Bloody Mary! I already told you about the assignment, but whoa, I am in such an 'I-wanna-watch-Supernatural' mood!
I put so much time into that essay I think I'll post it here sometime. Soon, if I remember to send it to myself from school.

♥Valentine's Day!♥

Happy Valentine's Day!
Everyone having a good Valentine's Day?
I hope so, but I know lots of hearts are broken today or more so on Valentine's Eve. I hope you recover if that has happened, it can be really hard.
Wow my day..*self conscious laugh*...pretty uneventful.
I did just see 'Confessions Of A Shopaholic' like two hours ago with my cousin Ashley. It was way better than I thought it would be! I laughed a lot, we both had a good time.
Ironically, well, okay, it's not really ironic but I like that word: I have been thinking about Bloody Mary almost all day. Not the drink, I mean the legend. For English we had to pick something Science Fiction and I chose Bloody Mary under the headings 'Science Fiction--Horror'. Yea, I got pictures printed off for it and I just finished cutting them all out. I am, of course, coupling the legend with the TV show Supernatural's 4th episode ever, Bloody Mary. Yes, I can do that, because our teacher wants us to use a movie or book that has our topic in it.
Did that all make sense?
Whatever. It's just strange to be thinking about Bloody Mary on Valentine's Day.

I'm not going to throw a bunch of 'love' stuff at you.
So you can take the face mask off and put down the baseball bat.
I just want to try and calm you down.
Look, I know that it's Valentine's Day. I know everyone is supposed to, in our twisted and terribly corrupt society, have a boyfriend or girlfriend. Who says you can't be independent? But again, that is what you probably hear all the time, along with: it's his/her loss.
I want to say this: I am single. And I am happy and comfortable where I am. Some people don't like being single, I say fine: as long as you aren't hurting yourself or anyone else, find someone for the right reasons. Now me, yes, some days I want a guy around. But most of the time I'm content being by myself. Really, I think if I had a guy I'd end of driving him away. I like my space and time to do nothing but be alone. I like being alone, I've always liked being alone. Some people, a lot of people, don't like to be alone. If you don't like being alone, don't be alone. I don't know if I'm ready to give up my time and my interests, or at least to adopt someone else's. I guess that makes me selfish, but at least I realize it. Too many people are dating too young.
I totally forgot what I was going to say. I am super tired.
Maybe I'll think of it later tonight when I'm trying to fall asleep and annoyingly can't, or maybe it's gone forever, to skip down the yellow brick road to the land of all lost thoughts.

I have had a huge change of emotional status since yesterday.
This is just crazy.
Yesterday night I was feeling like...well, just like I used to feel. And I mean the terrible way I used to feel. Last night I wanted to die. And I had that horrible time where I desperately wanted to cry, because crying tires you out and lets you sleep easier and because crying gets out a lot of emotion, but I could not. Which only made me more upset but still did not allow me to cry. Anyways, that was yesterday.
Today I was just happy and feeling good all day. I don't understand the change, I think it must be the pills still trying to regulate themselves or something. This week has been really strange.

Today was, hehe, Friday the 13th! Yay! I always like Friday the 13ths.
That has nothing to do with anything.

Today is the last day of school before Valentine's Day! It was, like always, exciting because everyone seems to be in a good mood and hyped up on sugar and handing out candy. Yes, lots of candy. (I have melted chocolate in my pocket because I put a chocolate heart in my pocket and forgot about it until I felt it all mushy :-0) A homeroom, to raise money for 'Pennies For Patients' was sending Crush to your Crush for a dollar. You know what Crush is, right? That orange-pop stuff. They delivered the Crush during homeroom today, and you know what? I was surprised. I was the only one in my homeroom to get Crushed on, and I got two! I don't even know who they're from. They said to Tara and they both said from '?' and one of them said 'Happy Valentines Day'. It was so sweet.
I have a hunch on who one was from, but I otherwise have no idea.

Oh! And I got roses for the first time today! Well, other than that one rose Hannah H gave me that one time. That was so sweet, thanks so much Hannah! But no, the roses were from my mom! Oh, wait, I mean the rose was from my mom. Only one. That was so awesome!!!! I am going to have her take pictures of me and the rose tonight before she goes out with my dad.

Wow, yay!

But I did get some sad news today.
My cousin is really sick and she goes to this super hard school and she missed four days this week and she is so overwhelmed she doesn't even want to go back to school. Can you please take five seconds right now and send a heartfelt prayer for her, please? I really hope that I'm going to get to see her this weekend, it doesn't sound like what she has is contagious. Pray for her, please.

First off - I'm sorry for missing a post this week. But I just made it up by posting 2 poems today.

I thought I had more to say...

My week was fairly uneventful...I was sick Friday and had a doctors appointment Thursday.
Missed so many tests, it's terrible like that--we always have lots of tests in different classes around the same time.
You don't want to hear about that though.

I am watching Scrubs right now. Never watched it before. It's okay, I guess. Not great, in my opinion.

Wow, I just spent like 15 minutes looking for a picture of Dean Winchester wearing those hilarious red shorts in 'After-School Special'. For you Cassie. This is for you. ;-)

Poem #1 If All The Seas Were One Sea

I was doing laundry today and an idea came to me. Don't act so shocked, ideas do come to me on occasion. I've been thinking the past few days, for some reason, about what I want to pass on to my children. Of course, as I've thought and told many people numerous times, I do not want to have children of my own, I want to adopt. But that is beside the point.
I was feeling very nostalgic. I was thinking about the poems my mum used to read to me all the time when I was little. The poems in the giant book that was my mum's when she was little. The poems in the book that is sitting in a trunk in my room. And I thought about how much I loved and adored those poems and would read them over and over when I learned how to read and how they taught me so much.
I really want to pass that down to my future child(ren).
It occurred to me that not many people now, especially of my generation and younger, have had these poems shared with them. They don't know many of the classic poems. In my point of view, from my perspective, that is a terrible shame.
So, I thought that this month I'll put up a new poem from my childhood book of poems every day. There are 142 poems in the book, (I just counted, hehe), so sharing one a day should not be a problem.
I think all children should be exposed to these classic poems and lullabies.
That's my opinion, and I am sure lots of people, especially teens, will think that this is a stupid idea. But I don't really care. It's important to me.

The poem I'm sharing today is a favorite. If All The Seas Were One Sea.
It took me a year or so to actually get the humor in it. Which makes me feel awfully slow after reading it now. So yes, I love this poem, I hope you enjoy it. :)

IF ALL THE SEAS WERE ONE SEA
If all the seas were one sea,
What a great sea that would be!
And if all the trees were one tree,
What a great tree that would be!
And if all the axes were one axe,
What a great axe that would be!
And if all the men were one man,
What a great man he would be!
And if the great man took the great axe,
And cut down the great tree,
And let it fall into the great sea,
What a splish splash that would be!




The book is appropriately called "Best Loved Nursery Rhymes and Songs" published by Parents' Magazine, it is the '1974 Edition' and says it is the Library of Congress Catalog No. 63-12348
